St. Patrick School Christian Service Committee

Use your God given gifts to serve others.” 1 Peter 4:10

St. Patrick School Christian Service Committee is a group of people who volunteer their time and talent doing a wide variety of service-oriented projects with our school for the community. Our intention is to integrate Corporal Works of Mercy into the planning and communication of events to expose our children to a variety of Christian services.

We will be working together this year with our assigned Teacher Liaison, Mrs. O’Leary, to perform service related outreach activities right here in our community. Our plan is to roll out service projects within each grade, partnering with the religious teachers.

Furthermore, we are thrilled to be sponsoring Kids Against Hunger as our all school service project this school year.  A lot of time and effort by many—both physically and financially— was behind making this a reality. This will take place during Catholic Schools Week. We will need many hands to help with this fun, large undertaking.

Other activities that we coordinate and manage are:  all Catholic School Week activities, bake sales for supplemental fundraising for our committee, Sacristan and Eucharistic Ministry for school masses, a Coat Drive and Toy Drive for Bountiful Harvest, weekly Gleaners donations from mass and monthly Gleaners donations, Angel Foods (providing meals for school families in need due to surgery, illness, hardship, etc.), maintaining corresponding liturgical decor and displays in and around school grounds, and other outreach or service related needs as they arise.

We would love your support for these events, whether it be giving your time, treasures or talents. Please feel free to contact Carla Egan (egan3@att.net) or Jill Holton (j.w.holton@sbcglobal.net) if you are interested. We are most appreciative of your time and talents to serve and so are our children and school staff!!!
